Bob has political experience on the local level [as Floyd County Schools Deputy Superintendent] and about three decades of experience dealing with people as an educator and administrator. My summary is self-serving to a certain extent, if only in promoting my political party. Katie and Bob are both capable individuals. That doesn't dismiss the fact that they've aligned themselves with parties that have walked away from our Constitution. The compromise of others with which one is affiliated will eventually taint one's own judgement. Even the French political thinker and historian Alexis de Tocqueville, arguably more liberal ideologically than any of our founders, stated, "America is great because she is good. If America will cease to be good, America will cease to be great." Secular humanism and socialism has not, and will not, make us great. You may be surprised at how closely the platform mirrors your own opinions and beliefs.

God bless America, while we still recognize it.
